A man who was already facing charges from a November incident is now back in the Taney County Jail after attacking a Taney County Deputy who was checking on his well being.
According to court documents, Andrew Burton, 30, is facing five charges after an incident in Rockaway Beach on December 17 when he was found in a driveway and when an officer tried to check on him, attacked him before finally being taken into custody.
The five counts facing Burton include Armed Criminal Action, Resisting Arrest, and Interfering with a Law Enforcement Officer.
Burton, who was out of jail on Bond after a Domestic Violence charge against him from a November incident, is in now back in the Taney County Jail with his next hearing scheduled for January 28.
