Today starts Day 13 in the search for John and Amy Villines who went missing after their SUV was washed off a low water crossing during a Flash Flood on November 30.
According to a post on Justice of the Peace Judge Glenn Redding, excavation around Crooked Creek in the area of Ben Eddings Motor Group just north of the 65 Bridge took place with assistance Wednesday supplied by the Marion County Search and Rescue team along with other agencies and volunteers.
Redding says in the post that volunteers with waders are needed or those who can’t volunteer and would be willing to lend out their waders to volunteers would be greatly appreciated.
Search begins again this morning at 8:00 with volunteers asked to check in at the Office of Emergency Management on Prospect in Harrison.

Boone County Search and Rescue Update:
Tuesday, December 11, 2018. We want to thank all of the canoers and kayakers that floated downstream searching today. You were great. We want to thank the Marion County Search and Rescue Team that responded to assist us today. It made a huge difference in our efforts. We want to thank all the volunteers that showed up this morning, put on their boots and waded out in the muddy banks of the creek. Without you it couldn’t get done.
NEEDED: We need volunteers to show up Wednesday with waders, pitch forks, rakes and hoes. If you can not help in the search but you own waders, PLEASE put your name in the waders and drop them off at the Command Post.
The Excavation started today just North of the 65 bridge behind Ben Eddings Auto Group. As we continue upstream clearing debris we are in hopes of recovering John and Amy. Every day we clear more and more.
The Boone County Search and Rescue Team will continue searching specific areas tomorrow, Wednesday, December 12 at 8:00 am. Please check in at the Command Post located at 400 East Prospect Ave., Harrison, Arkansas.
Please keep John and Amy along with their families in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you all.
