The College of the Ozarks Women’s Basketball Program is being recognized for it’s two plus decades of excellence as they are now members of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.
The program was recognized at the Hall of Fame Basketball Luncheon in Springfield for their run of success, especially during the tenure of George Wilson and now Becky Mullis as Head Coaches.
C of O has been one of the dominate programs in NAIA DIvision Two, which started in 1992. The Lady Bobcats have missed the National Championship Tournament only three times in that span and only missed the field of 32 once since Wilson became Head Coach in 1997 after winning over 500 games as a High School Boys Coach.
Some of the other stats for the Lady Bobcat Program include nine Final Eight appearances and also finishing National Runner-Up five times plus 30 NAIA All-American Honors for Lady Bobcat players dating back to 1991.
This season’s Lady Bobcat team is again in prime position for a Postseason run currently ranked Fourth in the Country.
