As the search for John and Amy Villines continues over a week after they went missing after their SUV was swept off the road during a Flash Flood, the area being searched has moved away from Lake Harrison and downstream on Crooked Creek.

A post to the 1029 the Z Facebook Page from Boone County Search and Rescue indicates they are conducting a search and asking for volunteers to assist. Interested volunteers are ask to check in at the Office of Emergency Management on East Prospect just east of the 62-65-412 Bypass where they would be assigned a trained Search and Rescue Team Member to assist.

This new search got underway early Sunday Morning after the vehicle the Villines were in got washed off of Highland Street at a Low Water Crossing during heavy rains on November 30. The vehicle was discovered soon after but no sign of the Villines couple.
