Weather Update: Winter Weather Advisory Still in Effect, Warning Cancelled

by: Scott McCaulley

The National Weather Service in Little Rock cancelled the Winter Storm Warning it had issued for some North Arkansas Counties and restored the Winter Weather Advisory, which is still in effect for Northern Arkansas as well as the boarder counties in Missouri until Sunday Morning.

The Snow Fall Amount Forecast continues to go down as now the Southern Missouri Counties will see possibly an inch of snow, maybe two in some areas but most of the rest of the Missouri Ozarks will see little if any snow.

For Arkansas, areas on a Harrison line to the north may see 1-2 inches of snow with snow fall amounts increasing to up to 4 inches south of Harrison. Motorist traveling south of Harrison, especially on Highway 65 toward Marshall should be advised of potential hazards as icing is also expected to cause some travel hazards today.
