A mix of weather situations in Arkansas has prompted the State Emergency Operations Center to activate it’s operations today.

In a press release, officials state “The State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) is activated Level I (Full Activation) as of 8:00 a.m. this morning due to weather affecting much of the State of Arkansas.  ADEM will be monitoring the winter weather and rain forecasts and impacts throughout the day.”

Freezing Rain and Snow in parts of Northern and Central Arkansas along with Heavy Rain further south has prompted the activation of SEOC today.
