While some of the heavier Snow Predictions have been lowered as a Storm System approaches, Winter Weather is still a possibility for several areas of the Ozarks.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Saturday and early Sunday Morning with the possibility snow and ice accumulations in the region.
For Arkansas, most of the area counties are in the Advisory Area including Boone and Carroll along with Baxter, Madison, Marion, Newton, and Searcy Counties. A possible 1-4 inch accumulations of snow plus a glaze to as much as a quarter inch of ice is possible, especially in some of the elevated areas in Newton County. The Advisory will take effect at Midnight Saturday Morning and go until Sunday Morning at 6:00.
The snow predictions in Missouri have been lowered with only a 1-3 inch accumulation expected. The affected areas have also been lowered as only the boarder Counties with Arkansas in the Advisory Area including Stone and Taney along with McDonald, Barry, Ozark, and Howell Counties. The Advisory for the Missouri Lakes Region goes from 6:00 Saturday Morning to 6:00 Sunday Morning.
