Black Friday shoppers were out catching the great deals in Branson on Friday, in spite of the off and on rain showers they’re getting down there.

These are definitely rain or shine Black Friday shoppers here at the landing.  However, the crowd hasn’t been overwhelming, but definitely steady. Management says they had plenty of people here for the early morning door-busters.

“We had 250 people or more, lined up outside.”

It was raining on and off when we arrived here at the landing – and there were plenty of shoppers going in and out of stores searching for the famous Black Friday deals – as there are right now. Like Linda Hopper, who says she drove all the way from Kansas City to shop in Branson.

“We get double the stuff here for the same amount of money I get at home, so I always shop in Branson. I plan my shopping for the holidays in Branson.”

Nikki Sivils is marketing director for the Landing.

“Black Friday is really important to a lot of these stores here as well and..the economy has been so good lately — and Black Friday so far is proving to be exactly what these stores are wanting, which is getting people in the door and buying their products.”

Silvis said that they really expecting a large turn out next year this time — with the soon opening of Andy B’s, Landshark Bar and Grill, Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen, Mellow Mushroom and Dude Daiquiris.
