Thanksgiving Thursday activities included a pair of Community Dinners in the Lakes Region.

Jesus was Homeless had they 11th Annual Love Your Neighbors Thanksgiving Dinner at the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church Parish which served several hundred people. Brian and Amy Stallings started this dinner 11 years ago and this event eventually led to the founding of the organization they have now headed for 10 years.

Meanwhile it was a decade ago that retired school cook Shirley Mease and her family started a free dinner for the Reeds Spring Community. The event has grown from only 11 people that first year to nearly 250 people stopping by with another 200 meals delivered.  The event was held at the Reeds Spring Intermediate School.
