Thursday Results: Top Seeds Out at Class 3 Softball District

by: Scott McCaulley

In what most folks going in knew was a very tough Class 3 Softball District at Rogersville, the proof of that was shown Thursday as the top two seeds were both knocked out in the semi-finals.

The Reeds Spring Lady Wolves, the number two seed, were downed by Bolivar 4-1 while top seed and host Rogersville found themselves on the wrong end of an 8-4 decision against Springfield Hillcrest.

The two winner will play for the District Championship on Saturday.

Meanwhile in other sports, the Branson Soccer Pirates picked up an 8-3 home win over Willard with Kyle Sutton netting four of the eight goals for the Pirates, who are now 14-6 for the season.
