An accident on Highway 65 near the 265 intersection late Saturday afternoon caused southbound traffic to back-up for a time.

The Missouri Highway Patrol Reports that a Jeep driven by Daniel Allen, 39, of Harrison slowed in traffic for a red traffic signal light when it was struck in the rear by a truck driven by 42 year-old Jeffery Jones of Ridgedale.

While Jones was not injured in the accident, Allen and a passenger in his vehicle, Jezanne Allen also of Harrison, sustained minor injuries and were treated at Cox Hospital in Branson.

Both vehicles were totaled slowing southbound traffic on Highway 65 for over an hour.
