With the exception of the Harrison Goblins, all of the Lakes Area Football Teams went down to defeat on Friday night in High School Football Action.

After a big high last week after playing Webb City to two points, the Branson Pirates were grounded by the Joplin Eagles who rolled by the 35-6 at Pirates Stadium. The Eagles scored 21 first half points and eventually had the turbo clock running most of the fourth quarter before the Pirates scored in the games’s final seconds.

For the Reeds Spring Wolves, their homecoming game was spoiled by Springfield Catholic as the Irish kick a late field game to send the Wolves to a 17-14 defeat, the first loss for Reeds Spring this year.

After a big Homecoming win last week, the Hollister Tigers looked to keep things going by winning at Marshfield, but the host Blue Jays proved to be too much as the Tigers fall 31-26 while it was another tough week for Forsyth as the Panthers remain winless falling to state ranked Pierce City 53-0.

Berryville and Green Forest were shutout on the road, the Bobcats by Shiloh Christian 36-0 and the Tigers by Prairie Grove 63-0.

Harrison did pick-up a win and now are the Lake Area lone undefeated team as the Goblins build a 14-3 halftime lead and eventually held on to beat Morrilton 21-9.
