The city of Branson will host the 2018 Central States Shrine Association Convention Aug. 22-25. A release from Lynn Berry at the Branson CVB states about 3,500 Shriners and their families from the Midwest states will be attending the event that includes the Shrine Parade on Sat. morning, Aug. 25 at 9:00 AM. Thousands of residents and visitors alike typically line the parade route. The Branson Police Department has a traffic control plan to minimize the impact of the parade along the route.
“This year’s attendance is expected to be great,” Director General and coordinator of this year’s convention, Les Thomas stated. “Shriners really enjoy coming to Branson, and like the wonderful hospitality they find here.”
“Many of the Shriners have booked extra time in town to experience all that Branson has to offer,” said Jeff Seifried, President/CEO, Branson Chamber of Commerce and CVB. “August is ideal for a big event of this magnitude, and the Shiners conventions are always welcome in Branson.”
