Branson Named Outstanding Board of Education for 2018

The Branson board of education received Missouri’s Outstanding Board of Education Award during the recent Missouri School Boards Association Leadership Summit at Lake of the Ozarks.  Branson’s award came in the area of physical and environmental resources. Recipients of this award must provide a quality learning environment; safety and security; technology; environmental practices; community use of facilities; and long-range facility planning.  Branson was one of only 20 school boards from around the state to be recognized at the conference.

Members of the Branson School District’s board of education at the time of the award include: Roger Frieze, Jeff Smethers, Dan Boone, Cole Currier, Peter Marcellus, Angie Smith and Craig Wescott. Brad Swofford is district superintendent.
