BRANSON, Mo – The Branson Police Department, will join other area law enforcement agencies in support of the Special Olympics by perching on the roof of Branson’s Dunkin’ Donuts this Friday, May 18th.
This is the second year the Branson Police Department will take to the rooftop to participate in “Cop on Top,” also known as “Cop on a Rooftop,” to raise awareness and money for Special Olympics Missouri. Last year, the Branson Police Department joined with other agencies in the Midwest/West region to raise more than $600,000 for the organization.
Everyone who visits Branson’s Cop on a Rooftop location, and makes a donation, will receive a free donut coupon from Dunkin’ Donuts. Everyone is encouraged to stop by, have a cup of coffee and chat with the officers. Other agencies joining Branson this year are
- Taney County Sheriff’s Office
- Merriam Woods Police Department
- Missouri Department of Correction’s Probation and Parole
Watch for a Cop on the Rooftop beginning at 8:00 Friday morning.
