BRANSON, Mo — Branson road crews shut down one lane of Shepherd of the Hills Expressway near Victorian Village after a driver struck the railing of a 25-foot retaining wall in front of the shops at that location. It happened Tuesday morning.
Branson police say the damage was caused when the driver hit the gas instead of the brake and hit the retaining wall. Crews assessing the damage to the retaining wall at the Victorian Village expect a 300 foot stretch of the outside westbound lane of Shepherd of the Hills Expressway will be closed indefinitely until repairs are made.
Drivers are urged to be careful in this area and watch out for workmen.
