HARRISON, Ark. – Northwest Arkansas Rescue of Canines is raising money to give its adoptable pups a huge housing upgrade with a fundraiser in Harrison on Saturday.

Suzie Henry, founder and president of the not-for-profit, says the ten dogs she has up for adoption are housed in separate crates inside of her own home.

She says that if she could raise about 25-thousand dollars she would build a barn-like structure to house the dogs:

The fundraiser will include music from Kickin Kountry, a dinner, a silent auction, and free drawings throughout the event…

NARC is a federally recognized not-for-profit dog rescue fostering animals until they are ready to be adopted to a loving home.

The fundraising event will start at 5 p.m. this Saturday, April 21, at the Elks Lodge in Harrison.
