FORSYTH, Mo. – Taney County Commissioners amend intergovernmental agreements with the cities of Forsyth, Hollister, Rockaway Beach and Merriam Woods pertaining to the housing of municipal inmates at the county jail.

Presiding Commissioner Mike Scofield discussed the agreements with Taney County Sheriff Jimmie Russell…

Also during their regular meeting on Monday, commissioners approved an agreement with Herrman Lumber Company for the purchase of materials for construction of a new maintenance building at the Taney County Transfer Station, at a cost not to exceed 7-thousand 80-dollars.

They also approved a bid from AmeriGas for the purchase of propane at 1-dollar and 39-cents per gallon, and an agreement with Terminix for pest control at the animal control facility for 672-dollars.

Commissioners also discussed the possibility of providing another vehicle to the county coroner’s office, which currently employs three deputy coroners. Coroner Tony Mullen is not asking for a new vehicle, but a used one, possibly from the sheriff’s office.
