BRANSON WEST, Mo. – A man from Reeds Spring is arrested by Stone County Sheriff’s Deputies early this (Monday) morning following a reported home invasion off DD Highway.

Forty-year-old Daniel P. Walker is currently jailed in Galena on a cash-only bond of 35-thousand dollars. He had two active felony narcotic warrants out for his arrest, according to a release from Sheriff Doug Rader.

New charges are pending.

Just before 3 a.m., officers were in route to the home on Vista Ridge Drive when they attempted to stop a vehicle that appeared to be operated by Walker, who was named by the homeowner as the possible suspect in the break-in.

Rader says the responding deputies were familiar with Walker and the kind of vehicle he drives.

The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed and officers ended up successfully deploying spike strips at the intersection of Talking Rocks Road and Business Highway 13 in Branson West.

Rader says the vehicle continued north and turned into Claybough Plaza as it started to lose rubber from its flattened tires.

While in the parking lot, the vehicle came into contact with one of the pursuing patrol cars. Walker eventually stopped the vehicle in the back of the plaza, exited and was taken into custody, according to the release.
