Hollister Bids Farewell to Retiring Police Sergeant

HOLLISTER, Mo. – The City of Hollister honors retiring Police Sergeant Tim Matthews with a reception at city hall.

Matthews is departing after 11 years with the city. Police Chief Preston Schmidt says during that time, Matthews has been able to secure about 100-thousand dollars in MoDOT safety grants…

 

 

City Administrator Rick Ziegenfuss says Matthews has been an excellent supervisor, with effective management of officer incident reports that are used in prosecution, and a lot of personal effort and attention to detail in his work…

 

 

Mayor David Tate presented Matthews with a plaque of appreciation for a job well done in Hollister. He is retiring after a total of 32 years in law enforcement.
