CAPE FAIR, Mo. – Stone County residents are encouraged to attend an upcoming public meeting regarding plans to rehabilitate the Highway 76 bridge over Table Rock Lake at Cape Fair.
Hosted by MoDOT, the come-and-go style meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 20th, running from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Cape Fair Community Center.
Anyone unable to attend the in-person meeting can view the same exhibits and give their comments at an online public meeting at www.modot.org/southwest.
Next year MoDOT plans to replace the deck or driving surface of the bridge. Crews will also replace the walls or railings along the bridge and install new guardrail at the bridge ends.
Traffic crossing the bridge will be impacted during construction, and MoDOT is still developing options for handling traffic flow.
The estimated project cost is 2-point-5 million dollars.
