REEDS SPRING, Mo. – A family is displaced by a residential structure fire at Reeds Spring Junction Tuesday afternoon.
Southern Stone County firefighters responded to Mease Road and Old Highway 160 to find the home about 50-percent involved, with flames coming through the roof.
Public Information Officer Eric Nielsen says firefighters kept the flames from spreading to an outbuilding and a couple of nearby vehicles, but the home is a total loss…
Crews from Highlandville, Western Taney County and Branson responded in mutual aid after a second alarm was issued. Firefighters remained on scene for about three hours.
Nielsen says the residents had just recently moved into the home, and they are now staying with relatives nearby. He says two family pets are unaccounted for.
