The Field of 16 is set for next week’s National Junior College Basketball Women’s Division Two National Basketball Tournament being played for the second year in a row by North Arkansas College.
This year, the Lady Pioneers are one of the qualifiers having won their District Championship last weekend. Among the other teams in the field include Defending Champion Kirkwood of Iowa, currently ranked second in the country, along with current Number One Monroe of New York and undefeated Highland of Kansas.
Ancilla (MI), Bryant and Stratton (WI), Cape Fear (NC), Cecil (MD), Gogebic (MI), Harcum (PA), Highland (KS), Illinois Central, Kanakee (IL), Kirkwood (IA), Macomb (MI), Mesa (AZ), Monroe (NY), North Arkansas, Owens (OH), Union (NJ)
The tournament begins next Tuesday with the finals scheduled for the following Saturday.
