YELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas State Representative Jack Fortner announces his bid for re-election.
Fortner represents District 99 which includes portions of Marion, Boone, Baxter, and Searcy counties. He began serving in the House in 2016. Hometown Daily News spoke to him right before the election that year:
He says it has been a pleasure to serve the people of his district as their voice in Little Rock.
Fortner currently serves on the House Public Transportation Committee and the House Agriculture, Forestry, and Economic Development Committee. Prior to his time in the house, he previously served as a Justice of the Peace for Marion County and as a member of the Marion County Regional Airport Board and the Planning Commission.
He is a small business owner and cattleman who lives in Yellville with his wife, Pam.
The Republican Primary Elections will be held on May 22nd.
