BRANSON, Mo. – The Western Taney County Fire Protection District responds to a residential structure fire this (Tuesday) morning in Branson.

Fire Chief Chris Berndt reports at 9:18 a.m. units were dispatched to a home at 533 Breckenridge Road, off Highway 248, in Branson. Even before reaching the fire, Berndt says his department was faced with several challenges:

Berndt says the fire was contained to the wall and roof area where the stove pipe was attached to the home. However, Berndt says, the home sustained approximately 15-thousand-dollars of damage.

No injuries were reported. A total of four Western Taney County Fire stations were dispatched to the home. Branson Fire-Rescue Station Two and the Taney County Ambulance District also responded to provide mutual aid at the scene.

Berndt adds his department also responded to an out-of-control grass fire Monday afternoon, off of Iowa Colony Road in Hollister. No injuries were reported at this scene, but a tractor, a trailer and the siding of the home all sustained minor damage.
