POINT LOOKOUT, MO. – Chad Williams, former U.S. Navy SEAL, spoke at College of the Ozarks on Feb. 5 during a patriotic convocation for students.

With the goal of becoming a Navy SEAL, Williams entered basic underwater demolition SEAL training. Out of a class of 173 men that all vowed they would die before quitting, Williams was one of only 13 to make it to graduation day. Williams is a bestselling author and frequent guest on major news networks such as Fox News Channel, “Anderson Cooper 360,” “CNN News Room,” and more.

Williams reminded students that all will face adversity. He challenged students to use adversity as a means of motivation.

“Two years ago I read Williams’ book, ‘Seal of God,’ and I absolutely loved it,” said Brett Powell, sophomore business management major. “Having the opportunity to meet and listen to Mr. Williams was an amazing experience. Hearing his testimony of how his life was changed by the Lord was an amazing testimony of the power of God.”
