BRANSON, Mo. – The Shepherd of the Hills Humane Society raises $1,900 during its inaugural Ozark Mountain Media Group Radiothon.
Just prior to Christmas the Humane Society was invited to join Scott McCaulley on 106.3 KRZK to explain the long-term vision of the organization and raise money via a radiothon. Executive Director Michele Bourk shares since that day they have continued to receive checks from those who called to pledge donations.
Bourk explains these donations will be used finance the construction of a new clinic, located next to the adoption center and thrift store on Shepherd of the Hills Expressway:
Bourk says their goal is to raise $35,000 in the next five months. She adds between the radiothon and other fundraising event they’ve raised enough money to start construction in February.
Donations are still being accepted and can be made in person at the adoption center, by mail or by PayPal on their website. Bourk says local businesses looking to help sponsor a part of the project are invited to do so as well.
