NIXA, Mo. – The man suspected of abducting his girlfriend from the Walmart parking lot in Nixa on Sunday is apprehended.
On Monday night, a warrant was issued for the arrest of 20-year-old Nicholas Sanna of Springfield. City of Nixa Public Information Officer Drew Douglas reports Sanna was arrested overnight.
He is facing charges of kidnapping, domestic assault and property damage. These charges stem from an incident Sunday evening, when a domestic dispute turned into an abduction and Sanna allegedly confronted his girlfriend in the Nixa Walmart parking lot, threw her over his shoulder, put her in his car and drove off.
The woman was located approximately an hour following the incident. She informed police that Sanna stopped driving somewhere in the Rogersville area, got out of the car and fled on foot. The woman then took the car and drove herself to safety.
Sanna is being held in the Christian County Jail on a cash only $35,000 bond.
