POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. – College of the Ozarks President Dr. Jerry Davis speaks on behalf of Hard Work U at the inaugural U.S. Department of Education Summit.
On Thursday, December 14th, Davis was invited by U.S Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos to speak about the innovative programs C of O has become known for.
While Davis focused on graduating students who are debt free and the importance of teaching patriotic education, he also spoke on the college’s recently implemented no-loan approach:
In a press release Secretary DeVos shared “There is exciting work being done across the country by those who are willing to rethink the traditional ways in which we have educated students.”
A few of the other organizations and institutions present included EdX, The Jack Welch Management Institute, University of Maryland University and Arizona State University.
