EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. – The Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs is hosting a ribbon ceremony for its all-new ice skating rink today (Friday).
The general manager of the Crescent Jack Moyer says this marks the first “open skate” at the rink, a daily occurrence every evening from 5 o’clock to 7 now through the end of February, weather permitting.
This open skate allows local children, age 12 and under, from Carroll County to skate at no cost.
All adults, all teens, as well as children who live outside the specified local area will be charged five dollars each per day. For all hotel guests, adults and children, the fee is included in their Crescent Hotel Resort Pass.
Moyer says renting the skates are included in the admission but there are only a limited number of skates available.
Up to 20 skaters can be on the ice at any one time. He notes that individuals wishing to donate skates to this community project will receive a 2018 season pass for free skating.
