RUETER, Mo. – MoDOT is extending or rescheduling a couple of area road maintenance projects due to the extreme cold weather.
A project to replace drain pipes beneath Highway 160 between Rueter and Theodosia is being extended until Tuesday, January 9th, as crews have been experiencing delays due to the frozen ground and cold temperatures causing equipment breakdowns.
The project location is between Route 125 southeast of Rueter and Henson Road west of the Taney/Ozark County line. This section of Highway 160 will close to traffic from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on January 9th, and drivers are asked to find an alternate route.
A similar project in Christian County is also being postponed until next week. Originally planned for today (Thursday, January 4th) MoDOT crews are now slated to replace drain pipes beneath Highway 125 north of Chadwick on Friday, January 12th.
The roadway will close to traffic at the work site from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. that day.
