BRANSON, Mo. – Winter temperatures have arrived and it looks like they’re here to stay, at least for a little while.
As the area enters into the first days of 2018, the New Year has brought along below freezing temperature yet to have been seen this season. Meteorologist Drew Albert with the National Weather Service in Springfield explains what is causing this extreme cold:
Albert adds while it may take a few days, there will be warmer winter weather to come:
Today the area will see a partly sunny sky, with a high near 22 degrees and wind chill values as low as negative four degrees.
