BROWNBRANCH, Mo. – A teenager from Ava suffers life-threatening injuries in a single vehicle crash Monday night, three miles north of Brownbranch in Douglas County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 18-year-old Skyla Boyd was traveling southbound on Highway 76 at 10:25 p.m., when her vehicle travelled off of the left side of the roadway, struck a fence and then a tree.
Boyd was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield by Air Ambulance to be treated for her serious injuries. According to the online crash report, she was not wearing her seatbelt.
