Update: Power Restored to Empire Electric Customers

UPDATE: Power has been restored to all Empire District Electric customers in Taney County.

TANEY COUNTY, Mo. – Nearly 4,000 Empire District Electric customers are currently without power.

The Empire Outage Map is showing that 3,038 customers are affected in the Kirbyville area and 798 customers are affected in the Hollister area.

According to Empire’s Facebook page, a load imbalance issue caused the outages.

The number of outages has continued to grow since early this morning when only 674 customers were affected by the outage in the Hollister area, 432 customers in the Forsyth and Rockaway Beach area and 151 customers in the Kirbyville area.
