SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The 31st Judicial Circuit Court in Greene County has hired Kylie Young to serve as its new Court Administrator. Young, who will start on Jan. 16, 2018, has worked with the Missouri judiciary for 23 years.

“The Greene County Circuit Court is very fortunate to have Ms. Young join us as Court Administrator,” said Greene County Presiding Judge Thomas E. Mountjoy. “In her years of experience working for the State Courts Administrator, Ms. Young has worked with courts, judges, and staff at all levels — trial courts, appellate courts, and the Missouri Supreme Court.  We look forward to her bringing that experience to Greene County.”

Young most recently worked as a manager in Court Business Services for the Office of the State Courts Administrator where she supervises the business processes for Appellate, Civil, Criminal and Municipal, and Traffic courts. Prior to her work there, she served as deputy clerk in the Boone County Circuit Clerk’s Office.

As Greene County Court Administrator, Young will work closely with the Court en banc to ensure efficient and ethical operations of the court. She will also implement the court’s policies, coordinate its activities and projects, execute its budget and oversee many of its human resources responsibilities.

Young said she hopes to use her two decades of expertise to bring about tech-savvy changes to Greene County’s courts.

“My expectations are to work with the judges, clerks, and county officials to incorporate some of the new technologies offered to the court in the next year. Enhancements to jury processing and to misdemeanor and traffic case entry will be available for the court to streamline processing activities,” she said.

Young’s successor, Jerry Moyer, has worked at Greene County for 9 years. He retires at the end of December 2017.

“I will be leaving Greene County Circuit Court in the capable hands of Ms. Kylie Young. Ms. Young brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and skills to the position of Court Administrator. I am excited about what the future holds for the court with Ms. Young working as a part of the leadership of the court.”

Young currently lives in Jefferson City, Missouri. She will be getting acquainted with the courts and Springfield area in the month to come.
