BRANSON, Mo. – The City of Branson is expending funds to replace or refurbish submersible sewer lift station pumps.
Utilities Director Mike Ray says JCI Industries submitted the low bid, but he points out that all existing pumps will be inspected for possible rebuild in lieu of replacement…
Ray says lift station pumps typically can be rebuilt two times and have an expected lifespan of 18 to 21 years.
The city is also entering into a contract with S&S Pumping, Inc. to accept holding tank and septic waste for treatment at the municipal sewer plant.
Branson has provided this service to area septic haulers since 2002. Ray says treatment of this waste has had no adverse effect on the city’s systems, and has been a benefit to the environment and the surrounding community.
