Five area teams started play in the Annual Holiday Tournaments in Springfield with three coming up with victories.

Two of those were at the Pink and White Lady Classic at Drury University as Blue Eye defeated Glendale 50-40 and Branson rolled over Springfield Catholic 62-36. The same won’t be true of Wednesday’s Second Round games as the two teams will play each other at 11:00 AM at the O’Reilly Family Event Center. The game can be heard live on Hometown Daily and 106.3 KRZK.

The other Tuesday winner was Reeds Spring as the Wolves pulled off a 50-46 upset of eighth seeded Stockton in the Blue Division of the Blue and Gold Tournament at Missouri State University. The other two team lost, Hollister to top seed Ozark in the Gold Division 61-21 and Branson to Blue third seed Strafford 70-48.
