Press Release

The Branson Parks and Recreation Department is proud to announce that over 200 seniors in our community were blessed with gifts this holiday season through the Adopt-A-Senior Program.

The Adopt-A-Senior Program was started by Community Center Coordinator Traci Burrow in 2016.  In the first year, the program was able to provide gifts to over 70 seniors, and through the hard work of staff and volunteers that number was nearly tripled in 2017.

This program has been made possible through the generosity of individual and businesses throughout the Branson area.  The Parks and Recreation Department and Lisa Arnold with Senior Age, located at the Branson Community Center, worked diligently to make the program a success.  A special thanks to Empire Electric and their Elf Program and White River Electric, who provided much needed support throughout the process.

We would also like to thank the following business and organizations for the contributions:  Dr. Williard’s Office, The Branson Mill, The Branson-Hollister Senior Center Board, BB Artistry, The Texas Tenors, City of Branson Employees, Grace Baptist Church, Citizen’s Church, Weight Watchers, Lakeside RV Park, HS & JH Gifted Students and to all our those who adopted seniors and made this year such a success.
