RUETER, Mo. – MoDOT is encouraging drivers to keep themselves aware of the ongoing road construction in Ozark County, which will leave Highway 160 closed in several locations in the coming days.

Now through Tuesday, January 2nd, MoDOT crews are replacing deteriorating drain pipes underneath Highway 160 between Route 125, southeast of Reuter, and Route P, west of Theodosia. Southwest District Senior Communications Specialist Angela Eden discusses the ongoing road closures:

The road will only be closed while crews are working between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The road will be open in the evenings, at night, and on the weekends. No road closings are planned for Friday, December 22nd, Monday, December 25th, or Monday, January 1st.

Eden says MoDOT wants drivers to understand they will access to entrances and driveways on either side of the work zone, but they will not be able travel through the work zone. Drivers are urged to prepare ahead of time and find alternative routes during the work schedule.
