BERRYVILLE, Ark. – Berryville School District is asking parents to be vigilant of their child’s social media accounts, as there have been several reports of inappropriate photos and messages being sent to local students recently.
According to a release from the school district, the administration has been contacted by multiple parents regarding explicit photos and messages being sent to their child.
These were via Instagram and Snap Chat, by an unidentified adult male. These reports have now been verified by the school.
From what they understand, this particular account has been closed, however, this person will most likely establish a new account under a different name using contacts he has previously gathered.
Berryville School Officials say they cannot stress strongly enough how important it is to monitor your child’s online communications on a regular basis.
Should you detect activity of this explicit nature, report it to Instagram and the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division, immediately.

Go to Settings
Go to Report a Problem
