HUNTSVILLE, Ark. – A man accused of murdering a Garfield resident and disposing of his body near Clifty will face a jury next June.

According to an order filed in the Madison County Circuit Court, 29-year-old Cody Wise from Rogers is accused of committing capital murder following the death of Ronald Kultgen.

He will stand trial in front of a 12-person jury in Madison County on Monday, June 25, 2018. The trial is scheduled to last ten days.

Wise has been issued the court date following several months in which he was unable to appear in court. According to the record, he faced medical issues while being detained in the Arkansas Department of Correction.

Wise pleaded guilty in September 2016 to unrelated felony charges of possession of firearms by certain persons, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine and was sentenced to 10 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction with an additional ten years suspended imposition of sentence to follow.
