Two Monett Residents Injured in Lawrence County Crash

MONETT, Mo. – Two residents of Monett are injured in a two vehicle crash Monday evening, in Lawrence County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 78-year-old Gary Baker of Monett was traveling westbound on Highway 60, four miles east of Monett at 5:45 p.m., when he struck the rear of another westbound vehicle, being driven by 18-year-old Hector Alberto; who was waiting in traffic to make a left hand turn.

A passenger in Baker’s vehicle, 74-year-old Marilyn Baker, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield to be treated for moderate injuries. Alberto also received moderate injuries in the crash, but was transported to Mercy Hospital in Aurora for treatment.
