Two Hurt in Crash near Hurley

by Sam Clanton

HURLEY, Mo. – Two people are injured in a single-vehicle crash on Hootentown Road five miles east of Hurley in Stone County.

State troopers say 20-year-old Brandon Sorrell of Buffalo was northbound at 3:25 this (Tuesday) morning, when his pickup ran off the roadway and struck a tree. The report indicates the vehicle was traveling too fast for the road conditions.

Sorrell and a passenger, 37-year-old Levi Martin of Belton, were transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment of moderate injuries.
