OAK GROVE, Ark. – The Carroll County Sheriff’s Department releases information on the arrest of two men accused of robbing a convenience store in Oak Grove last week.
Major George Frye says deputies were alerted to an intrusion alarm at a convenience store in the early morning hours of December 11th. As authorities arrived, he says they found the front window glass smashed and the cash register missing.
According to the report, deputies later noticed 21–year-old Adam Bailey from Eureka Springs walking shoeless down a neighboring road with broken glass lacing his shirt.
Deputies say Bailey lead them to a home with a trucked parked in front of it that investigators believe was used in the burglary.
There he was arrested alongside an additional person, 30-year-old Tom Morris from Oak Grove. Frye says he believes both of these two are connected to a string of burglaries in the county.
Bailey and Morris are currently being held at the Carroll County Detention Center pending three counts of Commercial Burglary, three counts of Theft of Property, Theft by Receiving charges, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Arson.
Both have been given 100-thousand dollar bond on these charges, however, Baily is being held without bond on a revocation warrant and Morris is being held on a Probation and Parole White warrant, also without bond.
