BRANSON, Mo. – The Branson Board of Aldermen is allocating more than 2-point-3 million dollars for tourism marketing in 2018, in a renewed contract with the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB.
In a presentation to the board, Chief Marketing Officer Leah Chandler discussed the overarching theme of “Closing the Deal in 2018”…
Chandler says for 2018, the chamber is moving away from print advertising in consumer publications in favor of additional television and digital marketing efforts, especially in primary and regional markets.
The city advertised for tourism marketing proposals in 2014 and the chamber submitted the only qualified bid. The original contract for 2015 included an option to renew annually for an additional four years.
Tourism marketing funds are drawn from the city’s tourism sales tax receipts. The 2018 contract totals $2,359,671.
