HARRISON, Ark. – People in Boone and Carroll County are no longer under a burn ban today.
The county judges say enough rain has fallen over the weekend that they are comfortable lifting the burn ban. This particular ban has been in place for almost a month.
According to Carroll County Judge Sam Barr, his county received about half an inch of rain, enough he says to lift the ban for now. Similar amounts of rain were reported out of Boone County over the weekend.
However, fire officials out of both counties are still asking folks to use extreme caution when burning outside.
