The College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcats had to be careful not to overlook their Friday game in Kansas against Southwestern College with their big home showdown with fellow undefeated and Nationally Ranked Concordia coming up next week. Though Southwestern stayed close for a good part of the first half, the Lady Bobcats pulled away in the second half for an 84-66 win.
After both teams had a good shooting first half, the Lady Bobcats pulled away with a 26-11 third quarter margin to grab the win.
Another big night for Lady Bobcats Kelcie Cleeton as she collected another double-double scoring 20 points an collecting 15 rebounds while Lakin Simmerman led five Lady Bobcats in double figures with 21. Cassidy Johnson for C of O scored her 1000th Career Point during her 14 point performance.
The win for the Number Four Ranked NAIA Division Two Lady Bobcats keeps them undefeated at 13-0 as they get ready to host 11-0 and second ranked Concordia of Nebraska in a top five showdown Tuesday night at Point Lookout. Concordia remained undefeated as they won at Number 18 Northwestern 84-80.
