GREEN FOREST, Ark. – The State Senator for District Five in Arkansas, Bryan King, announces he will not seek re-election in 2018.

King, who represents Madison County and portions of Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Johnson, Sebastian and Washington Counties, says he would like to spend more time with his family and taking care of chicken houses at his farm.

He works in Green Forest and has been a state senator since 2012.

He is the Chair of the Legislative Join Audit Executive Committee and also resides on other fiscal and environmental committees.

Currently, Bill Ballinger from Berryville is the only person signed up to run in the November 2018 election. Ballinger has been a member of the house representatives since 2012.
