MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – A search warrant out of Baxter County yesterday (Wednesday) leads to the arrest of a man for felony theft charges.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says 53-year-old Brett Tschetter (sh-et-ur) is suspected to have broken into an address on Cochran Drive on June 6th, as well as several times before that. He says stolen items from that address included cash, a pistol, and knives.

A release from the department says Tchetter was suspected of committing this crime early on in the investigation.

Deputies severed the search warrant at Tschetter’s home nearby in the 300 block of Buzzard Roost Cutoff this week. That is where they found all of the stolen property, according to Montgomery.

He is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on a 25-thousand dollar bond for felony residential burglary, felony theft of property, and a misdemeanor for failing to appear in court.
