Two Hollister Residents Injured in Head-On Crash

HOLLISTER, Mo. – Two residents from Hollister are injured in a head-on vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon, two miles west of Hollister in Taney County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 33-year-old Kendra Howard was traveling westbound on Highway 265, when she crossed the center line and struck an eastbound vehicle head-on, being driven by 78-year-old William Piland.

According a news release from the Western Taney County Fire Protection District, they were dispatched to the crash at 3:45 p.m. to provide minor extrication to Piland, who was trapped in his vehicle.

Piland and Howard were both transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield to be treated for their respective moderate injuries.
